Installing and linking Robocorp Assistant

Downloading the latest version of Robocorp Assistant

  1. While logged into Control Room, click on the Assistants menu item in the top bar.
  2. Select the correct installation package for your Operating System and download it assistant-download

Installation under Windows

  1. Find the .exe version of the installer you downloaded on your machine and execute it.
  2. Read and accept the Robocorp End User License Agreement
  3. Choose whether you want to install for your user only or for all users on the machine, in which case you will be asked for admin credentials.
  4. Choose the installation location.
  5. Wait for the installer to complete.
  6. Finish the installation. With the Run Robocorp Assistant ticked, the application will start directly.

Installation under macOS

  1. Find the .dmg version of the installer you downloaded on your machine and launch it.
  2. Read and accept the Robocorp End User License Agreement
  3. In the next window, drag the Robocorp Assistant icon into the Applications folder shortcut: Dragging to application folder
  4. Find the Robocorp Assistant icon in your Application folder and launch it by double-clicking on it.

Now you are ready to link and start your Robocorp Assistant.

Installation under Linux

Robocorp Assistant for Linux is distributed as an AppImage package.
We recommended setting up desktop integration for AppImage.

  1. Find the .AppImage version of the installer you downloaded on your machine.
  2. Make the downloaded file executable:
    • NOTE: If you have set up desktop integration, you do not need to do this step.
    • Via the UI (Gnome): click on the right mouse button on the downloaded file, select Properties, switch to the Permissions tab, and select the Allow executing file as program checkbox. You can now close the dialog. Linux set package executable
    • Via the Terminal: Open a terminal, change to the directory containing the AppImage file
      • cd <my directory>, and execute the command chmod +x robocorp-workforce-agent-linux.AppImage
  3. Run the robocorp-workforce-agent-linux.AppImage file either by double-clicking on it or via the Terminal.
  4. Read and accept the Robocorp End User License Agreement
  5. The application will start.

Now you are ready to link and start your Robocorp Assistant.

  1. Start the Robocorp Assistant -application
  2. If the application is not linked to Control Room, it will ask you to do so.
  3. TBD: update after new UX
  4. Once linked, follow the instructions on the Using Robot Assistants in Control Room page.

Unlinking a linked Robocorp Assistant

To unlink a linked Robocorp Assistant:

  1. Click on the dropdown on the top right, and select Unlink account: Unlink Robocorp Assistant
  2. Robocorp Assistant is now unlinked.
