Installing and linking Robocorp App
Downloading the latest version of Robocorp App
- While logged into Robocorp Cloud, click on the
Environments
menu item in the top bar. - In the
Environments
screen, select the correct installation package for your Operating System and download it:
Installation under Windows
Find the
.exe
version of the installer you downloaded on your machine and execute it.Read and accept the Software License Agreement:
Choose whether you want to install for your user only or for all users on the machine, in which case you will be asked for admin credentials.
Choose the installation location.
Wait for the installer to complete.
Finish the installation.
Installation under macOS
- Find the
.dmg
version of the installer you downloaded on your machine and launch it. - Read and accept the Software License Agreement:
- In the next window, drag the Robocorp App icon into the Applications folder shortcut:
- Find the Robocorp App icon in your Application folder and launch it by double-clicking on it.
Now you are ready to link and start your Robocorp App.
Installation under Linux
Find the
.AppImage
version of the installer you downloaded on your machine.Make the downloaded file executable. You can do it in two ways:
Via the UI (Gnome): click on the right mouse button on the downloaded file, select
Properties
, switch to thePermissions
tab, and select theAllow executing file as program
checkbox. You can now close the dialog.Via the Terminal: Open a terminal, change to the directory containing the AppImage file, e.g., using
cd <my directory>
, and execute the commandchmod +x robocorp-app-linux.AppImage
Run the
robocorp-app-linux.AppImage
file either by double-clicking on it or via the Terminal.Read and accept the Software License Agreement:
The application will start.
Now you are ready to link and start your Robocorp App.
Link Robocorp App with Robocorp Cloud for Workforce Robots
Before Robocorp App can start executing your workforce processes, you need to link it to Robocorp Cloud.
You can do it in two ways, either using your Robocorp Cloud credentials, or by providing it with an access token. This procedure is the same for all platform versions.
Linking Robocorp App using your Robocorp Cloud Credentials
- Select
Robot Workforce
in the start screen: - Click on the
Login to Robocorp Cloud
button in the main screen in Robocorp App: - You will see the familiar Robocorp Cloud login screen. Log into Robocorp Cloud with your credentials.
- Choose the workspace you want to associate Robocorp App with:
- Give a name to your Robocorp App and confirm by clicking the
Link Robocorp App
button: - Your Robocorp App is now linked.
Linking Robocorp App using an access token
- In Robocorp Cloud, switch to the workspace you want to link Robocorp App to.
- Click on the
Environments
menu item in the top bar: - Click on the
Generate link token
button: - A token will be generated and displayed for you. Copy it to the clipboard:
- In Robocorp App, click on the
Link Token
tab, paste your token in theRobocorp Cloud Link Token
field, and assign a name to the Robocorp App: - Your Robocorp App is now linked.
Successfully linked Robocorp Apps displayed in Robocorp Cloud
Once Robocorp App is linked, it will be displayed in the Environments
page of the relevant workspace:
Your Robocorp App is now ready to be assigned to your robots.
Link Robocorp App with Robocorp Cloud for Robot Assistants

Starting and stopping Robocorp App
Once you have linked Robocorp App to Robocorp Cloud, you can start it and stop using the UI. You can check the console output log on the main screen.
Unlinking a linked Robocorp App
To unlink a linked Robocorp App:
- Click on the dropdown on the top right, and select
Unlink Environment
: - Confirm in the next screen:
- Robocorp App is now unlinked.
Once you have unlinked Robocorp App, you can link it again, but it will be considered a new Runtime Environment in Robocorp Cloud, and you will need to clear the old Environment from Robocorp Cloud manually.
