Custom SMTP server

Overview

Control Room uses its own server to send outgoing emails.

This may however not fit your use case if you have a policy in place that prevents specific incoming emails from being received within your organization, or want to have your emails coming from a different domain for any other reason.

In such case, you may want to configure your own SMTP server.

How to configure your own SMTP server for outgoing emails

• Navigate to the settings page of your organization as visible in the screenshot below

• Click Configure your SMTP server as visible in the screenshot below

• Fill in the details as visible in the screenshot below

• An indicator will let you know whether or not we were able to establish a connection to your SMTP server

  • Valid configuration: all good!
  • Invalid configuration: make sure that the details you entered are correct

• That's it: any new outgoing email will be sent using your own SMTP server!

Note that this configuration will apply to all workspaces within that organization.
